Princeton Local Schools — Evendale Elementary School

This new 56,000 ft² elementary school features spacious classrooms and cutting edge mechanical, electrical, fire protection and technology systems. The school is furnished with a complete fire suppression system utilizing an automatic wet sprinkler system in accordance with the requirements of all regulatory water mains to ensure that proper flows are available for the sprinkler system and hose connections. The HVAC system includes indoor central air handling units. The fire alarm system is a fully addressable system that complies with all local and national codes.

A digital CCTV camera security system was included in the project. To support the technology equipment and components, receptacles and data outlets were provided throughout the classrooms and media center. All data and voice cabling is Cat6 rated.

A stand-alone central sound system integrated within the building telephone system was provided. Each system has the ability to function independently in the event of a system failure, providing a redundant means of communication. Central sound system speakers were provided in the corridors, classrooms, and throughout the school for all-call, zone and emergency paging. Two-way open voice communication within the classroom was accomplished using the classroom speakers as well.
