Construction Management

Construction Management Owners have come to rely on Dynamix Engineering’s attention to detail throughout the construction process. We continuously interact with the owner, architect and engineer during all phases of the project and provide management expertise that maintains the integrity of the project’s vision from pre-planning through completion.

Pre-Construction Phase Activities:

  • Attend design meetings.
  • Review the mechanical, electrical, plumbing and technology drawings during their development.
  • Perform constructability analysis and cost savings analysis. Provide written report of the review analysis and attend meetings as necessary to convey the content of the analysis.
  • Assist in the development of the bid packages and scopes (not design wise, but Construction Managers wise) for the above referenced bid packages.
  • Prepare/review budget estimates for the above referenced bid packages.
  • Participate in bidder review and analysis at bid time.

Construction Phase Activities:

  • Overview of key MEP submittals and shop drawings.  Initial comments provided in writing for further review by Construction Manager and the designer of record.
  • On site reviews of the mechanical, electrical, plumbing and sprinkler systems during construction.  Provide written reports of on-site review observations for use by the Construction Manager.
  • Actively work with the Construction Manager, contractors and designer of record in coordination issues, especially above ceiling coordination.
  • Review MEP Change order RFP content and contractor pricing analysis.

Closeout Phase Activities:

  • Coordinate and manage Owner training on operational and maintenance procedures.
  • Participate in testing and balancing review to ensure proper functionality of MEP systems.
  • Participate in punch-list and warranty phase issue resolution. This may include on-site reviews and issue investigations.
